Above and beyond
We recently stayed in Novotel Suites Manila at Acqua. I can say that as an Accor member, I noticed a few touches are lacking. For instance, an automatic Accor member room upgrade is not always guaranteed if the hotel is fully booked, but a little welcome note or complimentary snacks upon arrival in our room would be much appreciated, aside from just the welcome drinks which we can avail at the restaurant. The room had a spectacular view of the river and the city. It was flawlessly cleaned and maintained. The staff behind the Tempus Restaurant were extremely thoughtful and accommodating. My son has some minor food allergies and when I politely queried about each meals' ingredients, the restaurant staff patiently and graciously took their time to explain to us in detail the ingredients of their food. I would like to thank Miss Peach, who went above and beyond and I've witnessed first hand how she handled the guests at the Restaurant as well. All the staff at the restaurant went into great lengths just to provide their customers needs. Everyone tried to put a smile on their faces, Bing in particular encountered a guest whom have asked a ridiculous request at the restaurant. This saddens me though, as I understand that in the hospitality industry we can encounter some logistical problems. But kudos to them for handling it very well and were composed of the situation. Before we left, Miss Peach made sure that we were still taken care of and gave us a cake as a parting gift, which we all appreciated immensely. Needless to say, it felt like home away from home and we will definitely come back. I will make sure to spread the news with our friends here and also in Australia once we go back. Maraming salamat!
